About James Thorne

James Thorne started work in the Restoration business at the age of 16, as an Apprentice to a Furniture Restorer. This apprenticeship including hands on experience running alongside a 3 year City and Guilds course at the local College.

Not only did James pass the course with flying colours, but was also promoted by his employers before the 3 years had concluded.

During 20 years of working on Antique Restoration, James was lately the Head Restorer at a nationally known company, working on Restoration Projects and Hand Manufactured Furniture.

These projects included work on Listed Buildings and Manor Houses.

After moving to the Isle of Wight, James founded James Thorne Resorations to offer an Excellent Local service to the Island
